NEW: All MB Music PRO sound modules with audio interface!

All MB Music PRO sound modules come equipped with a built-in audio interface. Your MB Music module will be recognized as such and allows for the digital transmission of all sounds (MIDI file songs/sounds) from the module to computers, DAWs, tablets or laptops. Users of the MIDI-Land Optimizer can create direct audio playbacks (MP3 or WAV) with the PRO module – without any additional audio cables. Other players, such as Song Book Pro, MIDI-Land HA 4 or PC Live Player, can also use the PRO module as an audio interface, which improves sound transmission and eliminates the need for additional line or audio cables.

On stage, the module is connected directly to the mixing console via its outputs. If the module is connected to a tablet or computer, audio files (e.g. MP3, WAV) can be transmitted directly via the module, without the need to additionally connect the tablet or computer to the mixing console.

What is the MB Music PRO.APP?

A powerful browser-based app that combines three professional tools into a single tab—no installation, no drivers, and no hassle required. Simply plug in the USB cable, open your browser, and get started.

Here’s what to expect:

MIDI Player — Play any MIDI file directly on your module. Features real-time tempo control, transposition, a full 16-channel mixer, and even lyrics display. Just drag and drop, and you’re ready to go.
Performance Mode — 16 presets; switch your entire sound setup with a single tap. No menus, no waiting. Built for the stage.
Creator Mode (Beta) — DSP control taken to the next level. 4 channels with per-channel IFX effects—Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Rotary, Wah, Tremolo, and Delay. All controlled live from your browser.

And that’s just the beginning. Already in development: an in-browser audio recorder, an intelligent MIDI file optimizer, and an enhanced Creator Mode featuring a compressor, EQ, and distortion.

The PRO.XS sound module was specifically designed as the perfect sound source for MIDI file players, studio applications and PC/tablet use… and it also delivers:

The sounds and drum sets were selected, played and sampled by professional musicians from all over Germany. High-performance sounds in live quality – that’s what makes the PRO.XS a real sound powerhouse.

Despite its compact dimensions of 140 mm × 140 mm × 50 mm, the PRO.XS sound module is a real powerhouse in terms of sound and quality. The metal housing ensures stability and contributes to the high quality of the PRO.XS. Over 300 high-resolution sounds and 19 powerful new drum sets are available.

Two cinch sockets on the back allow for audio connection to a mixing console, audio interface or active speakers. A power switch is of course included, as is the USB-MIDI connection (also for 5V power supply). The classic DIN-5 MIDI input is also included.

Since the PRO.XS can be powered via USB, no external power supply is required on the PC or laptop. On the front panel you will find the master volume control and the stereo headphone jack.

Sound Module PRO.DX

MB Music PRO.DX – the small sound module with the big sound.

The sounds and drum sets were selected, played and sampled by professional musicians from all over Germany. High-performance sounds in live quality make the PRO.DX a real sound powerhouse.

Four zones (4 parts), layers and split sounds can be saved in performances and reloaded via USB stick.

A suitable adapter cable for USB, MIDI and MP3 players is included.

The compact 1.3-inch OLED display provides the most important information at a glance.

Sound Module PRO.MAX

The PRO.MAX was designed for musicians who don’t want to spend hours searching for plugins and VST instruments to get great sounds and performances.

A sound module that provides first-class sounds right away: Over 300 individual sounds and 19 drum sets are directly accessible, including grand piano, vintage electric pianos, guitars, brass, strings and much more. Top sound at the touch of a button.

All samples and sounds were carefully selected and played by top musicians. The performance mode allows the sound performance to be optimally adapted to the musician’s needs and saved. Four parts (zones) are available here with all split, layer, high and low note settings, reverb, multi-effect, insert effect, effect settings and pedals per performance. The performances can be saved and loaded both internally and on a USB stick, so that different setups are always available.

The PRO.MAX also has a song player that can play MIDI files and MP3s from a USB stick. In addition, the classic MIDI DIN-5 socket trio with MIDI In/Out/Thru is available. The module can be easily connected to a PC, laptop or master keyboard via USB cable – Plug & Play.

Many master keyboards can be supplied with the required voltage via the USB connection, so the PRO.MAX can be easily connected to a master keyboard. Connect a USB cable from the keyboard to the module, turn it on and start playing.

“I’ve been working with MB Sounds for many years. The bass and drum sounds are especially impressive—you hardly need a bassist or drummer anymore. To enhance the sound even further, I run everything through a PreSonus compressor. On stage, I now work exclusively with MP3 or WAV files.

I create the audio files using the Midiland Recorder in MultiFile mode. The MIDI files are loaded into the Midiland Optimizer via the MB module and then recorded as MP3 or WAV files. This allows a single MIDI file to generate up to 16 MP3 or WAV files that can be played back in the HA4 or Live Player. The advantage is that I can mute individual instruments or adjust their volume independently.

I can highly recommend MB Sounds to everyone. Thanks to the excellent sound quality, I can even leave my Tyros at home and accompany myself with just my guitar.
